A Chinese monochrome porcelain vase of pomegranate form, known as a shiliu zun. The vessel features a squat globular body rising to a short neck that terminates in a five-pointed everted rim, realistically modelled to resemble the calyx of a pomegranate fruit. The exterior is covered in a bright and even lemon-yellow glaze, while the interior and the slightly recessed base are finished with a plain white glaze. The base features a six-character mark in underglaze blue in seal script reading Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi, which translates to Great Qing Qianlong Period Made.
H: Approximately 15cm
Condition report:
The vase is in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is minor surface soiling and wear consistent with age to the unglazed foot rim.
