A porcelain brush pot of cylindrical form, known as a bitong, decorated in green enamels over a black ground. The exterior is decorated with a five-clawed imperial dragon pursuing a flaming pearl among ruyi-head clouds and flame wisps. The upper rim features a geometric diaper border with four floral cartouches, and the base is finished with a band of vertical stripes. The interior and the recessed base are finished with a white glaze. The base features a six-character underglaze blue seal mark in archaic seal script (zhuan-shu) which reads Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi, translating to Made during the Qianlong Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty.

The item is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. There is minor surface wear and light discolouration to the unglazed foot rim consistent with age.
