A Japanese Bronze Model of a Crab.
A finely cast Japanese bronze model in the form of a crab, naturalistically rendered with a broad carapace and articulated legs extending symmetrically from either side. The powerful front claws are raised in a defensive posture, their curved pincers sharply defined. The underside is carefully detailed with segmented abdomen and finely modelled joints, and bears a small cast seal mark to the centre.
