A Japanese Bronze Model of a Frog Climbing a Tree Stump.
A finely cast Japanese bronze figure depicting a frog clambering upward against a naturalistic tree stump, its limbs extended in a lively and animated pose. The amphibian’s body is rendered with textured, dimpled skin and carefully modelled musculature, conveying a sense of movement and character. The stump rises diagonally, its surface carved with subtle bark-like striations, while the frog’s splayed toes grip firmly at the base and along the trunk.
