The weapon is constructed entirely of steel, featuring a stout, triangular, double-edged blade. The centre of the blade is adorned with a deeply chiselled relief on both sides, depicting a tiger in the act of hunting a large herbivore, likely a water buffalo. This motif is a recurring theme in Indian decorative arts, representing power and the hunt. The hilt follows the classic H-shaped configuration, consisting of two longitudinal side bars connected by two transverse grip bars designed for a clenched fist.

L: Approximately 34.5cm

Condition report:

The item is in as-found historical condition. There is widespread surface oxidation and darkening across the steel components. Significant pitting is visible, particularly towards the tip of the blade and along the cutting edges. The decorative relief remains well-defined despite the surface corrosion. The hilt structure is solid and stable. The piece is offered without a scabbard.
