A Mughal archer’s thumb ring, carved from swordfish bill. The material is characterized by a warm honey-yellow tone with subtle darker mottling and natural internal inclusions. The ring follows a traditional asymmetrical design, with a wide, rounded body tapering to a flared, pointed edge.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The surface shows minor wear in the form of fine scratches and tiny nicks, which are commensurate with age and historical use. Natural internal mineral inclusions and fissures are present within the jade.
