A carved alabaster idol of abstract anthropomorphic form, the elongated body surmounted by a stylised head with pronounced brow ridge and deeply recessed eyes. Executed in a minimalist manner, the figure displays softly rounded contours and natural veining throughout the stone, with a smooth polished surface accentuating the material’s cream and brown tones.
Condition report:
The sculpture exhibits surface pitting, minor abrasions, and a darkened patina consistent with its style and material. A natural vertical fissure is visible near the base. There is some scattered white surface residue present in the recesses of the carving. The modern base displays light surface wear and dust.
