A Chinese porcelain cup of deep form with a slightly flared rim, tapering to a short circular foot. The exterior is decorated in vibrant overglaze famille rose enamels with a hundred butterflies motif. The butterflies are rendered in various sizes and colours, including shades of pink, turquoise, orange, and cobalt blue, interspersed with floral sprays featuring chrysanthemums and prunus blossoms against a bright white ground. An iron-red line borders the lower section of the body above the foot rim. The base features a six-character seal mark in iron-red overglaze in seal script reading Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi, 大清光緒年製, which translates to Made during the Guangxu reign of the Great Qing Dynasty.
