A Qajar portrait miniature, finely painted in opaque pigments with gilt details on paper, depicting a seated nobleman or courtly figure holding a pink flower to his face. The sitter is shown wearing an elaborate feathered turban, richly ornamented robes and jewellery, seated upon a high-backed ceremonial chair decorated in red, gold and floral motifs. Mounted within a later cream card mount with gilt-ruled border.
