A Chinese Doucai-Style Porcelain Stem Bowl with Boys at Play and Grape Vines, Chenghua Mark.
A Chinese porcelain stem bowl, of shallow rounded form raised on a tall, spreading foot, decorated in underglaze blue with overglaze enamel highlights. The exterior is finely painted with playful boys engaged in activity beneath scrolling grape vines laden with fruit, interspersed with foliage and curling tendrils. The interior well is centred with a circular medallion enclosing a grape-vine motif, framed by a double-line border at the rim. The stem and foot are further embellished with stylised ornamental bands in iron-red, green, yellow, and blue enamels. The underside bears a six-character Chenghua mark within a double circle.
