A Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Zun-Form Planter with Crane and Floral Decoration, Qianlong Mark.
Of irregular zun-shaped form with an angular, stepped rim and raised on six short bracket feet, the exterior finely enamelled in the famille rose palette against a pale turquoise ground. Each main panel is richly decorated with scrolling lotus and foliate motifs framing central cartouches of stylised flowers in pink, blue, yellow, and green enamels.
The larger central reserves depict cranes in flight amidst ruyi-shaped cloud scrolls, rendered in grisaille tones against a vibrant blue ground, symbolising longevity and harmony. The rim is bordered in an iron-red band with gilt decorative scrollwork, enclosing a turquoise-glazed interior.
The base glazed in celadon tone and bearing a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue.
