A Pair of Chinese Iron-Red and Gilt-Decorated Porcelain Covered Bowls, Qianlong Mark, Qing Dynasty. –
A pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty iron-red and gilt-decorated porcelain covered bowls. Each bowl and its matching lid are decorated with intricate iron-red enamel patterns, forming a lattice ground for larger floral or foliate motifs, accented with fine gilt detailing. The rims feature thin gold bands, and the lower exterior of each bowl is encircled by a geometric meander pattern. The lids are surmounted by stylized gilt metal finials. The interiors of both the bowls and lids are glazed in a vibrant turquoise-green. Each bowl’s recessed base bears a six-character mark in turquoise enamel, reading "大清乾隆年製" (Dà Qīng Qiánlóng Nián Zhì), which translates to "Made in the Qianlong Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty."
