An Islamic Iron Padlock with Calligraphic Inscriptions.
Of rectangular form, cast in iron, the padlock is densely decorated across all visible surfaces with engraved Arabic calligraphy arranged in horizontal bands and panels. The body is framed by repeating scrolling motifs, with similar decoration continuing onto the arched shackle and locking arm. The handle and locking mechanism are integrated into the design, with engraved ornament extending uninterrupted around edges and structural elements.
