A Chinese White Metal Openwork Dragon Headdress Ornament.
A Chinese white metal headdress ornament of domed form, worked in openwork and repoussé. The surface is decorated with alternating panels of coiling dragons amid scrolling clouds, interspersed with pierced foliate motifs. The lower band is encircled by dense floral scrollwork, while the upper section rises into a rounded cage-like structure.
