An Ottoman Calligraphic Panel Featuring ‘Ya Ali’ with Marbled Borders, Dated 1338 Hijri.
A richly composed Ottoman calligraphic panel centred by a bold black inscription reading “Ya Ali” set against a warm beige ground. The central calligraphy is flanked by intricately written vertical cartouches and circular medallions containing additional script. Surrounding the panel is a wide multi-coloured marbled border with swirling tones of blue, green, yellow, and red, framed by narrow coloured bands at each side. Various smaller inscriptions are arranged along the edges, with the date 1338 written at the bottom centre.
