A Qajar Lacquered Mirror Frame with Portrait and Calligraphy, 19th Century.
A finely lacquered Qajar mirror frame, richly decorated with vibrant polychrome and gilding. The central cartouche features a seated bearded figure holding a sword, flanked by two attendants in green and red robes, all set within a lush floral ground. Surrounding the portrait is an ornate border of arabesque motifs, interwoven with bands of elegant black and red calligraphy on gold panels. The reverse reveals the inset mirror, bordered with painted decoration.
