An Islamic Brass Astrolabe with Zodiac and Arabic Inscriptions.
A finely crafted Islamic brass astrolabe, featuring an intricately open worked rete with star pointers, a rotating alidade, and engraved numerals along the outer rim. The reverse is inscribed with concentric cartouches filled with Arabic script and astrological symbols, including divisions for zodiac signs and planetary calculations. The upper section bears an elaborately decorated throne with further Arabic calligraphy.
