An Ancient Chinese Jade Belt Buckle, Possibly Late Zhou to Early Han Dynasty, 5th–2nd Century BCE.
Carved from semi-translucent jade with warm russet inclusions, this ancient belt buckle features a rectangular bridge flanked by smoothly arched terminals. The top is flat and polished, while the underside reveals a recessed channel for securing the belt. The piece combines geometric precision with gentle curvature, typical of jade buckles used in ceremonial or aristocratic dress.
