A Pair of Chinese Bronze Stirrups with Dragon-Head Terminals, Possibly Ming to Qing Dynasty.
A pair of Chinese bronze stirrups, each featuring arched sides surmounted by a finely cast dragon head terminal with expressive features. The rectangular suspension loops rise above the dragon heads, while the treads are oval with openwork cut-outs at the centre.
