An Indian Miniature of Krishna with Gopis and Cows, 18-19th Century.
An Indian miniature painting on paper depicting Lord Krishna in his iconic blue form, dancing upon a lotus with one leg crossed in tribhanga pose. Flanked by white cows and a circle of gopis (female devotees) holding flywhisks and offerings, the scene is set against a lush green backdrop. Richly detailed in red, yellow, and gold accents, the work captures the devotional energy and divine play (leela) associated with Krishna in the Pahari or Nathdwara tradition.
