A Parthian Silver Drachm of Arsaces I, ca. 247–211 BC.

A finely struck silver drachm (4.14g, 25mm) from the early Parthian Empire under Arsaces I, founder of the Arsacid dynasty. Issued circa 247–211 BC at Mithradatkart–Nisa, this example features a left-facing bust of Arsaces I wearing a soft bashlyk (cap) on the obverse, framed by a dotted border. The reverse depicts the Parthian archer seated right on a backless throne, holding a bow, with the Greek inscription ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ (of Arsaces) and the letter “A” in the right field. Graded Choice VF (5/5 strike, 4/5 surface) by NGC. Sellwood 5.1; Shore 3; Sunrise 240.
