A Chinese Famille Rose “Boys at Play” Brush Washer, Yongzheng Mark.
A finely painted Chinese famille rose brush washer, decorated around the exterior with a continuous scene of young boys at play in a garden landscape. The composition features five boys engaging in various activities beneath flowering trees and beside weathered rocks, all rendered in soft famille rose tones with delicate linework and dotted ground shading. The reverse continues the landscape with vibrant foliage, blossoming shrubs, and a further solitary boy in bright attire. The domed form gently curves upward to a small circular mouth. The base bears a neatly written six-character Yongzheng mark within double circles.
