“Ascension Scene with Angels and Disciples” – Indian Christian School, 18th-19th Century.
A finely detailed 18th-19th-century Indian Christian School painting depicting the Ascension of Christ, rendered in delicate watercolour tones. Christ is shown rising heavenward in radiant light, flanked by two winged angels seated beside baskets of fruit and offerings—an element characteristic of local Christian devotional art from the subcontinent.
