A Large Safavid Copper Bowl with Arabic Inscriptions, 17th Century.
A Safavid copper bowl, finely engraved with a continuous band of flowing Arabic calligraphy encircling the flared rim, above a register of densely patterned arabesque cartouches and floral motifs. The rounded body tapers into a pronounced splayed foot, also decorated with intricate vegetal designs. The inscriptions are framed within elegant borders, harmoniously balancing script and ornament.
