A Safavid Brass Engraved Bowl with Arabic Inscriptions, 17th Century.
A circular Safavid brass bowl featuring a domed central boss engraved with swirling motifs and framed by radiating star-shaped cartouches filled with neatly inscribed Arabic text. The interior displays a continuous arrangement of repeating petal-like panels, each containing engraved calligraphy forming a symmetrical floral geometry across the surface. The rim carries a further band of Arabic inscription running around its circumference. The underside is decorated with a dense field of interlaced designs, arranged within a broad circular border, centred by a raised rounded boss. The surface overall shows a warm golden-brown tone with subtle contrasting engraved detailing.
