A Chinese Jade Cong Vessel.
Carved from a mottled green jade stone, this cong is of square exterior form with a cylindrical hollow interior. The surface shows subtle natural inclusions and tonal variations throughout the stone, with softly worked edges and a slightly recessed band encircling the upper section. The interior is smoothly hollowed, contrasting with the squared outer profile.
