A Chinese Green-Glazed Ceramic Architectural Shrine, 19th Century. –
A Chinese green-glazed ceramic architectural shrine. This miniature architectural model features a multi-tiered pagoda-style roof with elaborate finials and molded decorative elements. It is covered in a crackled, translucent greenish-blue (celadon-type) glaze. A reddish-brown body is visible where the glaze thins or is absent, particularly on edges and raised details. A central niche on the lower tier houses a seated robed figure, with steps leading up to it. The structure incorporates openwork sections and column details.
