Lot 192: A CHINESE LONGQUAN-STYLE CELADON-GLAZED STONEWARE BASIN.
This stoneware basin is finished in a pale sea-foam green celadon glaze, characteristic of Longquan-style wares. The vessel features a wide, flat everted rim with a slightly raised outer edge, surmounting a deep, straight-sided cylindrical body. The glaze is applied evenly across the interior and exterior surfaces, displaying a waxy lustre. This form, often referred to as a zheyan xi or folded-rim washer, is associated with the Longquan kilns of the Ming Dynasty or later periods.
