The vessel is flanked by two upright bridge handles and stands on four bulbous ruyi-head feet. The cover is surmounted by a globular bud finial and is pierced with two openwork scrolling cloud panels designed to allow the passage of smoke. The base is cast with a recessed four-character mark within a square, reading Da Ming Xuan De.
H: Approximately 20cm
Condition report:
The censer is in good antique condition, exhibiting surface wear, light pitting, and a well-developed dark brown patina. There is significant green verdigris oxidation present in the recessed areas of the calligraphic panels and the interior, consistent with age and functional use.
