An unset oval chalcedony signet stone, featuring a translucent, milky-to-yellowish body with natural internal variations. The face is deeply intaglio-carved with stylized Arabic or Persian calligraphic script, centred within a double-line oval border. The negative space surrounding the central text is filled with small, six-petaled floral motifs and lozenge-shaped punch marks. The reverse of the stone displays a smooth, polished convex surface, while the carved recesses on the front present a matte finish.
Condition report:
The stone appears in good overall condition from the provided photograph. Minor surface abrasions and very small nicks are visible along the sharp outer edge of the oval face (photo 1). The internal structure contains natural inclusions and cloudiness inherent to the gemstone material.
