A Pair of Fatimid Turquoise and Cobalt-Blue Glazed Ceramic Bishop Chess Pieces, Possibly 10th–12th Century.

Of domed form with arched upper ridge and incised with central scrolling palmette patterns, these two glazed ceramic chess pieces—one in a cobalt-blue glaze and the other in a turquoise-blue hue—represent bishops.
