An Egyptian Middle Kingdom Garnet Kohl Vessel, circa 2040 to 1782 BC - An Ancient Egyptian Middle Kingdom garnet kohl vessel. This small, dark-colored globular vessel features a rounded body, a short constricted neck, and an everted rim. A roughly drilled circular hole is visible on one side of the body, and there are subtle, irregular protrusions on opposing sides.

The surface exhibits extensive networks of fine cracks and fissures. General wear, pitting, and abrasions are present throughout, consistent with considerable age and use. A roughly drilled circular hole is visible on one side of the body. No apparent repairs or restoration.
