An Egyptian Early Dynastic Funerary Vase in Byrsian Marble or Steatite, 2nd Millennium BC – Early 1st Millennium BC - An Egyptian Early Dynastic Funerary Vase, dating from the 2nd Millennium BC – Early 1st Millennium BC, crafted from Byrsian Marble or Steatite. This stout, rounded vessel is carved from a variegated stone, exhibiting natural patterns of reddish-brown, tan, and cream. It features a short neck with a flat, outwardly flaring rim and two small, pierced lug handles symmetrically placed on its shoulders.
