A Central Asian Islamic Terracotta Chess Piece, Possibly 17th/18th Century - A Central Asian Islamic terracotta chess piece, depicting a King, possibly dating to the 17th/18th Century. Its exterior surfaces are extensively decorated with deeply carved or molded geometric patterns in relief, featuring recurring designs such as eight-pointed star or rosette motifs with central dots, concentric circles, stepped rectangular elements, and linear or triangular borders.
