A German Meissen-Style Blue and White Porcelain Lidded Box with White Metal Mounts, Late 19th-Early 20th Century.
A rectangular porcelain lidded box of gently domed form, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue on a white ground. The exterior features continuous scrolling floral sprays in the Meissen “onion pattern” taste, with stylised blossoms, foliage and foliate motifs extending across the body and lid.
The interior lid is similarly decorated with a central floral spray within a plain reserve. The base bears a blue underglaze pseudo crossed-swords style mark.
