An Indian Bronze Ewer (Aftaba) - An Indian bronze ewer (aftaba). The vessel features a fluted, bulbous body, a slender neck supporting a domed lid with a small finial, and a twisted spout capped with a bird finial, mirrored by another small bird integrated into the S-curved handle. A patterned band decorates the collar of the neck.

Significant wear, chipping, and abrasion to the original red and gilt finish, exposing the darker underlying metal. Consistent with considerable age and use. No major structural damage observed.
