A Ghaznavid Blue-Glazed Ceramic Knight Chess Piece, Possibly 11th–12th Century.

A rare Islamic chess piece in the form of a mounted horseman, finely modelled from ceramic and glazed in deep turquoise blue. The bearded figure, wearing a stylized cap, sits upright on a compact horse, hands resting at the sides. His elongated features and minimalistic details evoke a sense of abstraction.

H: Approximately 8cm

Provenance: From a distinguished European private collection.
