The head features carved eyes, ears and muzzle, while the lower section terminates in a stylised scroll-form pommel. Constructed from multiple fitted sections of bone displaying natural cream and honey-coloured tones throughout.
L: Approximately 14.5cm
Condition report:
The sculpture is in good condition. The joins between the individual bone segments are clearly visible, which is standard for this method of construction. There is evidence of natural age-related discoloration and accumulated surface dirt within the recessed areas of the carving. No significant cracks or missing pieces are apparent.
