Condition report:
The item is in good antique condition. The jade elements, comprising the ram\'s head and the lid, show good colour and polish with natural inclusions and minor surface wear consistent with age. The mother-of-pearl plaques retain a vibrant iridescence. There is minor patination and oxidation to the metal pins. Some small gaps and evidence of aged filler are visible between the plaques, which is typical for this method of construction. No major chips or cracks are evident to the hardstone components.
