Lot 208: A PTOLEMAIC EGYPTIAN STYLE STONE ITHYPHALLIC DWARF FIGURE.
4 viewsNot sold
A carved stone figure depicting a stylised dwarf in an ithyphallic pose, rendered in a compact, rounded form. The figure is shown seated or crouched, with bent legs drawn up toward the torso and arms wrapped around a prominent upright phallic element rising vertically from the body.
The head is rounded with softly defined facial features, including incised eyes and a broad, flattened nose, framed by simple, close-fitting hair. The proportions are deliberately exaggerated, with shortened limbs and a stocky, compact body typical of dwarf representations.
