A cylindrical jade bead or tube, known as a le, carved from nephrite jade of a pale celadon-green tone. The object features a slightly tapering profile towards both ends and is pierced longitudinally with a central bore for suspension. The main body is decorated in relief with a repetitive grain pattern (guwen), consisting of rows of raised, spiralling bosses. The composition is divided into two sections by a central band of incised diagonal rope-twist or cord decoration. Similar rope-twist bands terminate both the upper and lower ends of the tube.

The item appears to be in good overall condition. The surface shows characteristic signs of age, including natural fissures in the stone, areas of surface alteration or calcification, and iron-oxide staining. No major chips, cracks, or significant losses are apparent from the provided images.
