An Italian Ceramic Bust of Tutankhamun by Cortese, Mid 20th Century.
A painted ceramic bust depicting the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun wearing the traditional nemes headdress in alternating blue and gilt bands, surmounted by stylised vulture and cobra motifs. Decorated throughout in vivid polychrome enamels with gilt detailing, including a broad collar highlighted in blue, turquoise, red and gold tones. Raised upon a stepped black plinth base with engraved plaque reading “Tut-Ankh-Amon by Cortese”.
