A Chinese Oxblood-Glazed Porcelain Brush Washer, Kangxi Mark.
A Chinese porcelain brush washer of compressed globular form with a short, slightly flared neck, covered in a rich oxblood (sang-de-boeuf) glaze. The glaze displays a soft, mottled texture with tonal variation ranging from deep crimson to lighter red hues, pooling slightly toward the lower body.
The rim is left in white, providing a subtle contrast to the vibrant glaze. The underside reveals an unglazed foot rim and a glazed base bearing a six-character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue.
