An Ottoman Diagrammatic Plan Of The Masjid Al-Haram With The Kaaba, Ink On Paper.
A detailed Ottoman-era schematic depiction of the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, centred on the Kaaba within its surrounding courtyard. The composition is rendered in fine black ink, presenting the mosque’s arcaded structure, minarets, and architectural elements in a precise, linear format. Radiating lines from the Kaaba indicate spatial orientation and key ritual points, accompanied by numerous handwritten annotations identifying specific features within the sacred complex. A bold calligraphic border frames the composition, incorporating Quranic text that enhances the devotional character of the work.
