Philosopher Abolhasan Al-Aabid (S.M.A. Al-AABIDI, b. 1960), Portrait of a Malaysian Musician, Oil on Canvas.
An oil on canvas painting by S.M.A. Al-Aabidi depicting a seated Malaysian lady musician dressed in traditional attire. She is shown playing a flute-like instrument, her posture composed and focused. The figure wears a richly coloured red garment with decorative detailing, set against a dark background that enhances the warmth and depth of the tones. The delicate handling of facial features and hands contrasts with the expressive brushwork of the clothing. Signed lower left. Presented in a gilt frame.
