A Chinese White Metal Dish Featuring Dragons and a Central Republican Coin Motif.
A circular Chinese white metal dish, worked in relief with a pair of confronting dragons encircling a central medallion cast in the form of a Chinese Republican coin. The obverse features a raised profile portrait surrounded by dense granulated ground and scrolling cloud motifs, while the reverse is decorated with further dragon imagery flanking the coin design within a plain metal field.
