A Chinese Black Ground Porcelain Dragon and Phoenix Bowl, Qianlong Mark –
A shallow Chinese porcelain bowl, adorned with polychrome enamel decoration on a glossy black ground. The interior features a vibrant green five-clawed dragon confronting a colorful phoenix amidst stylized clouds, centered by a bold red "Double Happiness" (囍) character. The rim is edged with a continuous teal and pink scroll border and a thin gold band. The reverse of the bowl is plain white, decorated with five red stylized bats (wufu) around the footrim. The center of the reverse bears a six-character underglaze blue reign mark, which reads "大清乾隆年製" (Dà Qīng Qiánlóng Nián Zhì), translating to "Made in the Great Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period."
