A Tibetan White Metal Teapot with Dragon-Form Handle and Spout.
The teapot is formed in Chinese white metal with a rounded, lobed body raised on a stepped circular foot. The surface is richly worked in high relief with scrolling cloud motifs and stylised floral elements, arranged in horizontal registers around the body. The handle is cast as a dragon in full relief, its scaled body curving upward to meet the rim, while the spout terminates in a dragon-head form. The domed lid is surmounted by a finial and decorated with repeating raised motifs that echo the ornamentation of the body.
