An Arabic historical manuscript comprising the first part of Nuzhat al-Naẓirīn fī man Walī Miṣr min al-Salāṭīn (“A Delight for Observers Concerning Those Who Ruled Egypt from Among the Sultans”), compiled by Shaykh Marʿī ibn Yūsuf al-Karmī al-Maqdisī, the noted Ḥanbalī scholar.
This copy was written by ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad al-Bakrī in the year 1039 AH (1629–1630 CE) in the city of Ṭāʾif, as recorded in the manuscript. The work documents the succession of rulers and sultans of Egypt, forming part of the early Ottoman-era historiographical tradition.
The manuscript is written in a clear naskh hand in black ink, with rubrication in red to mark headings, names, and important phrases. The text is arranged in well-proportioned lines across spacious pages, reflecting a formal scholarly presentation. Marginal and ownership notes appear on the opening folios, indicating historical readership and circulation.
