A Pair of Turquoise-Glazed Ceramic Chess Pieces, Possibly Fatimid 12th Century.
A pair of ceramic chess pieces of flaring conical form, each coated in a turquoise to blue-green glaze with areas of iridescence and surface wear. The bodies are decorated with raised swirling motifs arranged in continuous bands around the sides.
